THIRD GRADE with Mrs. Eagle

Mrs. Rebecca Eagle, M.S.Ed., is a devoted wife and mom to a son who attends the University at Albany. She has served as a teacher since 2000, and is a proud graduate of Canisius College, Buffalo, NY. Mrs. Eagle attended SUNY Fredonia and Oxford University during her undergraduate years. She grew up in the Finger Lakes region of New York where she attended Catholic School grades K-8, and her mother served as a principal of the Catholic School in her small city. She and her family have lived in Saranac Lake for the last year as they moved here for her husband’s job.

Prior to returning to New York, Mrs. Eagle was a tenured teacher in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. She is an avid hiker,snowshoer, host of a journaling podcast, and an international bestselling author. Mrs. Eagle deeply loves God, nature, listening to bird songs and music, writing poetry and short stories, and journaling. She enjoys going to concerts and traveling with her family. Her favorite series when she was a little girl were The Chronicles of Narnia and Little House on The Prairie. Her favorite author of all time is J.R.R. Tolkien.

Mrs. Eagle looks forward to building community in her class, integrating her students into community service, and serving St. Bernard’s School with compassion, creativity, excellence,and joy.

Writing and performing plays and stories with students is one of her favorite things to do in the classroom. Exploring and mindfully caring for the natural environment and elders in the community is one of her favorite things to do with students outside of the classroom. Celebrating growth and wonder big and small is Mrs.Eagle’s legacy.
